Definition of Non-Accredited Certification
Non-accredited certification represents a conformity assessment process in which an organization is evaluated and certified by a certification body, but without accreditation from the national accreditation authority (Czech Accreditation Institute – ČIA).
It is important to emphasize that non-accredited certification is not covered by accreditation and therefore does not provide a guarantee of recognition within international agreements (e.g., IAF MLA). The difference compared to accredited certification lies solely in the fact that the certification body does not operate under the supervision of the accreditation authority, and thus the certificate is not included in the framework of internationally recognized accreditation agreements.
Nevertheless, the certification process itself is carried out in accordance with professional principles and rules derived from the requirements of the accreditation standard ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17021-1. The certificate is issued on the basis of the same professional procedures applied by the certification body in accredited systems and confirms compliance with the requirements of the respective standard.
Notice regarding this certification
Certification according to this standard is issued as non-accredited. This means that the conformity assessment process is not carried out within the framework of ČIA accreditation. However, the certificate is issued on the basis of the same professional principles and procedures, thereby confirming compliance with the requirements of the relevant standard.
